Deu. 32:43 (DSS/LXX)
Let all the elohim/angels worship Him…For He will avenge the blood of His sons,
and render vengeance on His enemies…
The book of Hebrews quotes this verse in Heb. 1:6. The Individual whom the angels/elohim bow down before is Yeshua.
He is also the One who YHWH has given the authority to execute judgment, according to Yeshua, Enoch, and John of Patmos:
Joh. 5:26-27
The Father…has also given Him authority to execute judgment because He is the Son of Man.
Eno. 69:27
And He sat on the throne of his glory, and the sum of judgment was given unto the Son of Man.
Rev. 19:15
Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword. And with it, He should strike the nations.
And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of the Almighty.
Eno. 62:2
Open your eyes and lift your horns if you can recognize the Chosen One. And YHWH seated Him on the throne of His glory [cf. Eno. 69:27; Mat. 19:28].
And the word of His mouth slays all the sinners,
And all the unrighteous are destroyed from before His face.
This means that Yeshua is the One whom YHWH uses to take vengeance on those who oppose Him. See also Rom. 14:10; 2 Co. 5:10; 2 Ti. 4:1; 2 Th. 1:7-8; Act. 10:42; 17:31; Mat. 16:27; 25:31-46; Joh. 5:22.
Because vengeance is His (Rom. 12:19 cf. Deu. 32:35; Psa. 94:1; Nah. 1:2), we should not try to take justice into our own hands. Rather, we should repay evil with good. Rom. 12:20-21. See also Lev. 19:18a; Pro. 20:22; 25:21; Mat. 5:39-41, 44; Luk. 6:27-29; 1 Pe. 3:9; & Rom. 12:17.
Jacob McKessey says
1 Pe 4:17
We must all appear before the judgment seat of the Messiah, as stated in Romans 14:10, 2 Corinthians 5:10, and Revelation 11:18.
At this time, He will first judge the faithful and the imposters, as stated in Matthew 16:27, 25:31-46, Acts 10:42, 1 Corinthians 3:8, Colossians 3:24-25, 2 Timothy 4:1, Revelation 2:23 and 22:12.
He will then take vengeance on all the disobedient–both the ignorant and the defiant sinners, as stated in 2 Thessalonians 1:8. The apostle Shaul again affirmed this in Acts. 17:31
Yeshua Himself plainly taught that at the resurrection, all must appear before Him to be judged. This is recorded in John 5:28-29:
Shaul explained to the Galatians that one’s eternal fate is determined by how one conducts their time on earth. This is recorded in chapter six, verses seven and eight:
The apostle also explained this to the Romans, when he said that YAH “will render to each one according to his deeds” (Rom. 2:6; Cf. Deu. 10:17; 2 Ch. 19:7; Job. 34:11; Psa. 62:12; Pro. 24:12; Isa. 3:10-11; Isa. 40:10; Isa. 62:11; Jer. 17:10; Jer. 32:19; Eze. 18:30; Act. 10:34-35; 1 Pe. 1:17). He then went on to say,
