Num. 11:21-23
And Moses said:
“The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand on foot. And You have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat for a whole month.’ Should flocks and cattle be slaughtered for them, will they suffice them? Or if all the fish of the sea be gathered for them, will they satisfy them?”
And YHWH said to Moses:
“Is YHWH’s hand shortened? You will see whether My word will happen to you or not!”
There is a similarity between the account given in Exodus 16 and in Numbers 11.
In the former passage, the manna and quail are given together (Exo. 16:6, 8, 12, 13) and happened in the wilderness of Sin, four campsites before Sanai (Exo. 16:1; 17:1; Num. 33:12-15).
In the latter, the people had manna long before the quail (Num. 11:4, 6), and the quail was provided in Kibroth-hatta wah after the people left Sanai (Num. 10:12; 11:34; 33:16).
In the former passage, there was only enough quail for one evening. In the latter, it fed them for an entire month. In both instances, YHWH provided. Every time He tested His people, He demonstrated His miraculous provision.
He provided Sarah with a child in her old age. He provided Hagar water for her son’s survival. He provided a ram for Abraham at Mt. Moriah.
He provided deliverance for Abraham’s descendants from Pharaoh and his army. He provided a way for them to cross the Sea. He provided bread from heaven. He provided water from rocks.
He tested them and provided for them for 40 years in the desert. Had it not been for YHWH and His mercy, their youth would not have survived.
In the wilderness of Paran, YHWH said to Moses:
“Is YHWH’s hand shortened?”
What would seem impossible from a human perspective is certainly possible with the Creator of the universe!
He can do things that counter our laws of physics. He can do things that defy our understanding of how things work. There is no shortage of instances of YHWH demonstrating this. A few of these include:
- Supernatural phenomena. Exo. 7:20-21, 9:23, 10:21-23, 14:21; Jos. 10:12-13; 1 Ki. 17:1, 18:1; 2 Ki. 20:11; etc.
- Food being created. Exo. 16:14-15; 1 Ki. 17:22-23; 2 Ki. 4:2-6, 42-44; Mat. 14:15; 15:22; etc.
- The dead resurrecting. 1 Ki. 4:34-35; 17:22-23; 2 Ki. 13:21; Luk. 7:12-15; 8:49, 54-55; Joh. 11:41-44; etc.
Even in modern times, YHWH is the same miracle worker He has been since the beginning. With Him, nothing is impossible.

Amen, I coudl tell stories of His miracles in my life! He is the same and still working miracles !
Jacob Mckessey says
There is a word that is used in Zechariah’s prophecy concerning the Messiah (Zec. 3:8) that is of particular interest: מוֹפֵת. Transliterated into English, this would be mo-faith.
[The Strong’s concordance number assigned to this word is H4159. It can be looked up online using a search engine. It can also be found online using BibleHub or BlueLetterBible.]
This word is used throughout the Exodus narrative to describe both the signs that YHWH told Moses and Aaron to perform in Pharaoh’s presence (Exo. 4:21; 7:9), and the plagues YHWH wrought in the land of Egypt (Exo. 7:3; 11:9).
The Scriptures reveal that YHWH used Pharoah’s pride to demonstrate His majesty before the entire world. Exo. 9:16
Biblical skeptics may point out that these types of signs and miracles are not present in the world today. Historically speaking, however, even with such miracles, those who are unconvinced would remain so.
Not only was this true with Pharaoh himself (Exo. 7:10-13; 8:15, 19, 32; 9:7, 12, 30, 34-35; etc.), but it was the case with the rebellious children of Israel who saw YHWH’s mighty hand in Egypt and in the desert and still hardened their hearts.
This is what Yeshua said about the rich man who supposed that his brothers would repent if he rose from the grave to warn them of the consequences of their wicked lifestyles (Luk. 16:31). What did Abraham tell him?
According to the Book of Revelation, it will also be true in the end times. Rev. 9:18-21; 16:8-9; & 16:10-11
Yeshua gave seven individual messages to seven assemblies of Asia Minor to whom John wrote (Rev. 1:4, 11; 2:1-3:22). He encouraged them to overcome, giving a unique promise to those who overcome from each assembly. In the middle of these messages, He urged the assembly to repent from being seduced by the false prophecy of antinomian teaching. He specifically reminded them that He “will give unto every one of you according to your works.” (Rev. 2:23).
